Reno International Airport
It would not be a resort, without an airport! In reality, Lake Tahoe
has 3 airports. The major hub is Reno International. Many major
airlines
fly to Reno, and this is truly your only choice when it comes to
commercial
flights.
After you book your flight, you will either want
rental
cars in Lake Tahoe or need
to
take a shuttle, unless of course you have a friend in the area!
Lake Tahoe Airport is actually on the South Shore. It is
a year 'round all-weather
facility with professional services for the general aviation and corporate
executive traveler. It does not offer commercial flights.
They are located 15 minutes from the heart of Lake Tahoe's South Shore
community, the Stateline Casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort.
There is also a small airport located in the north,
Truckee / Lake Tahoe for pilots of private planes. This airport does not have commercial flights.
However, they welcome your small plane. You can
get landing information, weather, rates and hanger
information at their site.
