The easiest way to get to Lake Tahoe is to fly to Reno Airport. Once you are arrive, you will need to take a shuttle to your resort area, or if you want the convenience of your own automobile, you can book a rental car and drive yourself There are quite a few car rental companies in Lake Tahoe that service both North Shore and South Shore.

Help keep our environment clean, take public transportation whenever possible.

North Lake Tahoe Shuttles

Shuttles from the airport are easy. If you choose to take a shuttle there are any number of shuttle companies that can serve your needs. From the airport North Lake Tahoe Shuttle Service can take you around various place on the lake. They are inexpensive, convenient, and they have great pick up - drop off times. We recommend them highly. Here is the shuttle route map.

TART - Tahoe Area Regional Transit

TART offers bus transportation on the North Shore and to Truckee, for connections with Amtrak or Greyhound. The buses are equipped with bike and ski racks and run between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily. All-day passes let you enjoy unlimited travel --children under five travel free with their parents, children over six and adults $3.00, seniors and disabled $2.00. South Lake Tahoe Shuttles

There are a number of shuttles you can ride from Reno Airport. These companies service the South Lake Tahoe area.

Blue Go

BlueGo is a coordinated public transportation system. Internet Kiosks: Computerized kiosks have been strategically placed in 30 locations around the South Shore for convenient access to general shuttle information, fares, maps, routes and schedules. Nifty Fifty Trolley

Tahoe by Trolley! These charming trolleys roll by every 60 minutes. Children and adults will delight in the fun and informative narrated trips designed to let you discover and explore South Lake Tahoe. You can get on and off this continuous loop service as often as you like with a $3.00 all day pass. You can transfer to the North Shore Trolley at Emerald Bay for just $3.00 more. The trolleys only operate from mid-June through Labor Day between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily.530-541-7548

South Tahoe Express

This luxury bus shuttle service offers nonstop service between the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and South Shore casinos and hotel properties. There are 14 daily departures from Reno between 5:45 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. and from South Shore begriming at 3:15 a.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m. Purchase tickets through your travel agent, the Welcome Center at the Reno Airport and South Shore Casinos. $21.00 per person, each way. $38.00 round trip.
