biking and triathlon competitions, the Lake Tahoe Marathon will also offer Speed
Golf as part of the Lake Tahoe Marathon Race Week (scheduled for September 25-30).
Speed Golf will take place Wednesday, September 26 at the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course,
3201 Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Tee off time is 9 a.m. and registration
fee is $40. Participants run the 18-hole course, a distance of approximately 4K,

the stroke plus run time. Golfers should bring a fanny pack to hold balls and other
items.
“I can honestly say I’m a better runner than golfer,” Race Director
and speed golf enthusiast Les Wright said. “Speed golf, however, is addicting
because it gives you the opportunity to combine a great workout with the beauty of
a fabulous golf course. I encourage our runners to give it a try.”
Runners and walkers have a host of events to choose from during the Lake Tahoe Marathon
Race Week (September 25-30), including the Marathon, coined “a Saturday morning
run you’ll never forget,” that winds down the West Shore from Tahoe City
