Drive Around Lake Tahoe, The Lake.

Everyone wants to do it, and yes, it is possible. The drive around Lake Tahoe is a wonderful day tour. It takes about 45 minutes without traffic or stops, but you will definitely want to stop. There are scenic pull outs along the way, Camp Richardson is a highlight on the South Shore as is Zephyr Cover, and Emerald Bay is an amazing photo stop. Also on the south, you can drive up to the top of Heavenly Valley Ski area for some amazing " Kodak Moments". The Vikingsholm Castle tour is along the way on the west side just past Emerald Bay. On the north shore, Tahoe City and the little town of Truckee have the shops. Lake Blvd. is the main drag and if you head east, you eventually come to Kings Beach, a very beachy town, and just past Crystal Bay and the Nevada border... you'll recognize it from the Casinos, you get to Incline Village, which is also a nice walk around town.
