North Lake Tahoe Lodging Vacation Rental Reservations

Fall is a great time to plan a getaway and take a Tahoe Vacation. Generally the weather is warm enough for a sun tan yet cool enough for the trees to change. While everyone is worrying about back to school, and upcoming holidays, visiting in autumn is a great time to kick back after summer, feel the breeze and enjoy the outdoors.

Lake Tahoe lodging offers so many choices, there is no need to congregate near the ski resorts as they are not necessarily the hub of activity. Lake Tahoe vacation rentals are everywhere, on both shores, in between the trees, on hills with breathtaking views and just short drives to the fun. Northstar for example converts their winter ice rink, to a rollerblading rink in summer, and they show movies in the same space at night!

During the fall, biking and mountain biking on both shores is extremely popular and if you are a die hard, you will want to find a place near one of the popular trail heads. You should also consider making your Lake Tahoe reservations during autumn near our famous food and wine festival which is an annual event. We have even had winners of TV's "Top Chef" come and cook. Paddling on the water is popular all year round, even when the water is chilly, but hey, a nice beach walk is good anytime of the year.

Guest often want trips to South Lake Tahoe because they want the "Las Vegas" experience, but not the crowds and hoopla. A South Lake Tahoe rental can take care of that. You will want to get either a hotel room in one of the larger casinos, or stay in a nice vacation home with a view of the lake

You may want to get your Lake Tahoe lodging over in Incline so you can play golf. Their golf course is one of 10 around Tahoe, and was recently remodeled. There are 39 golf course in the High Sierra and you know the ball flies further at altitude. When it comes down to choosing a place to stay, both shores are going to cost about the same, for the same quality and same amenities. The easy way to figure is the bigger it is, the nicer it is, and the closer it is to a major attraction, the more it is going to cost. Makes sense.
