Boating on the Lake

Whether you just want to cruise, or you're into skiing, wakeboarding or sailing, there are plenty of Lakes in the Lake Tahoe basin. The deep blue water is complimented by the alpine surroundings making a day on the lake something memorable.

The water temperature of local lakes can be cold. Who we kidding, it is melted snow. But on a hot summer day of floating on the lake who doesn't want to cool off. The beaches on the other hand, because the shore is more shallow are a lot warmer. Weather is always a key element in boating as the wind can kick up at any time.
