Camping
Lake Tahoe, while famous for its ski slopes and winter attractions, can't be counted out in the summertime! When the snow's all melted and the skies are blue, Tahoe still draws a terrific number of visitors for its summertime attractions. One of Lake Tahoe's most rewarding summer experiences is camping.
Lake Tahoe is home to dozens of campgrounds for visitors to choose from. The
entire region caters to campers, whether they bring a tent, or an entire RV.
Some are located within the interiors of the region, others are situated right
on the water's edge, giving you the best of both worlds. The cost of campgrounds
can vary by location and by available amenities. Many range from $15 to $25 per
night for basic tent sites, but RV sites will cost a little bit more.
You can use our camping online service to book a spot.
Many amenities are available to visiting campers right on the premises. Did you not bring enough firewood? Have you run out of drinking water? Did you fall into a pond and just need a good shower? Most campgrounds offer these amenities and more.
Most important, you'll have easy access to help should any emergencies arise, leaving your mind at ease to enjoy the peace and quiet of the great outdoors.
Pet owners need not leave their best friends behind. Numerous campgrounds allow for pets to be brought along to enjoy the great outdoors with the rest of the family. Check with each campground prior to booking to know what their policies are regarding pets.
Most will require leashes while present, but this is a both for your pet's protection as well as the other guests on the grounds.
