Heavenly Valley Ski Resort
Heavenly Valley spans both California and Nevada. The ambitious owners
have just pumped a whopping 5 million dollars in improvements into
the facility for snowmaking, wifi access and lessons and high tech vertical
grooming equipment. Take
a breathtaking gondola ride up to Adventure peak where the whole
family can experience snow tubing, sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing
and a 25-foot rock climbing wall! The ski all day party all night philosophy
means there are 11 restaurants and bars located on the facility,
and You can bundle your ski package with a casino visit to up the ante on
fun.
Heavenly Valley has long been the King of resorts because it borders
both California and Nevada and to new comers a bit confusing. The Nevada
side is the city called "Stateline" which has had all the recent
renovations and continues to get brought to today's resort standards.
The California base lodge is in the city of South Lake Tahoe. It
is tucked away in the forest, and walking distance to many of the
vacation condos and rental cabins and a much more quieter vacation.
Yet the distance between the two is about .5 miles. The locals all
use the California side to start their skiing as they know, that
both sides of the mountain are joined together. You can book your
trip in a
condo or cabin, or
hotel
or timeshare right here.
Heavenly Village
Tucked between the towering mountains and the pristine lake, Heavenly Village
is filled with eclectic shops, exotic restaurants, live music and deluxe
accommodations. And when you feel the urge to get back on the mountain, just
catch the high-speed gondola right outside your door.
 |
| Located one-half block west of Stateline, the Heavenly Gondola is steps from most
major lodging facilities, and puts the serenity of an alpine mountain within
minutes of six casinos and nearly 5,000
hotel rooms. The eight-passenger
takes take guests 2.4 miles up the mountain in 12 minutes while they enjoy
views of Lake Tahoe. |
